HOUSTON, Texas – July 13, 2012 – Officials from Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), the city of Houston, Texas and joint venture developers Perot Development Company and Perot Development Houston LP today cut the ribbon on an air cargo facility that will serve as a UPS regional hub. The 8,500-square-foot, cross-dock facility, located at 19575 Lee Rd., Humble, Texas, provides sort operation areas and an aircraft apron capable of accommodating up to three Boeing 747’s and staging areas.

- Office/Storage facility
- AOA Access Gate
- Three Boeing 747 positions
- Canopy at airside ramp
- Trailer and GSE Storage Areas
- Foreign Trade Zone benefits
- Single story title wall
- Fueling in aircraft apron
- 120 vehicle parking spaces
- Nighttime operation capabilities
The project was financed through the issuance of $2,805,000 of tax exempt air cargo revenue bonds through the City of Houston Industrial Development Corporation. Wells Fargo Bank Texas, N. A. is the Trustee and all rent payments from UPS are deposited with the Trustee directly via monthly wire transfer. The bonds are non-recourse and mature on February 28, 2023, which is the expiration of the UPS lease agreement.
